How do you become a posh ambassador?
Nov 28Reply

jimcherrix
@padillafashions 💕There are certain requirements you have to meet. If you look at the your stats I believe that's the area that will tell you what you need to do.

@thedealgirl2012 🤗 I have a ton of stuff to list - called downsizing if I don't keep buying things 🤫 🛍️. & Unfortunately, following several treatments for back pain and 2 failed back surgeries, I became totally disabled.

@thedealgirl2012 Add that to the narcotics I have to take (minimum strength following a Narcan adventure and discussion with my mom who passed 11 years earlier), my husband took over my closet and Lord knows, he's no where near a fashionista - jeans and sweatshirts - so I have to try to direct him. Sorry to ramble on but it's probably the latest dosage of morphine kicking in.

@jimcherrix I appreciate your closet having a lot of variety; I am new to Poshmark; however, I have sold on other platforms. I managed a thrift store a long time ago, and I've always loved thrifting and antiquing. I decided to get back into reselling more seriously, looking to use what I make to start a business and help pay for my schooling. I'm happy we were able to connect! :)

@thedealgirl2012 I'm here (Barb Cherrix) my husband had to take over my closet due to my disability) but I'm the one who knows what's going on and is the fashionista. He's working on the closet and if I can get him to understand fashion I'm sure I can help you out.

@thedealgirl2012 First, always post well lit photos of any item you're selling. Second, be sure to include measurements and they vary from one manufacturer to another. So list chest, waist, inseam measurements at a minimum - otherwise someone will ask for them. Also be sure to iron or steam your clothes -.wrinkles don't sell very well. Be sure to disclose any scratches, stains, cracking of iron-on decals etc. Finally, be sure you to to know the value of your item.

Don't only use Poshmark as other sites on the web can give you more info. if you believe the authenticity of an item you're selling may be challenged, if it's worth the $30 to $40 to you, have it authenticated online - there's a couple different companies. You can roll the cost (full or partial) into the price. I say this because Poshmark's authentication time frame has grown to about 2 weeks and the other authenticators will have it done in 12 - 24 hours. Not bad for a start, huh?

@jimcherrix Thank you so much for the info; I definitely appreciate it! I feel I've been doing pretty well starting, and I'm still building up my closet to have more quality items to have available for potential customers to find multiple items they may be interested in bundling together. I happy with the general feel of style that my closet is growing into, lol, however, I'm always challenging myself to learn more!

@thedealgirl2012 That's perfect. I do want to say something - you can agree or not, that's your choice - but while if you choose you can purchase wholesale items, Be careful. I've purchased wholesale items from "Boutiques" and some of it's great. Then there's other items that are so flimsy that after a couple washings, they're falling apart.

@jimcherrix I actually have not done wholesale; I go out and picked out the items myself; it's something I enjoy doing because it gets me out of the house, plus I like to see what I'm getting. I did do a ThredUp box because I was curious about it, and thankfully I was refunded because of all the damaged items; it was horrible what they put into there.

@thedealgirl2012 Not long after I started, I tried a Thread up box and I've donated most of it. There was no way Poshmark buyers would purchase the pieces in that 📦.
