I want to share some advice and tips that have worked for me. I’ve learned a lot over my years with Posh, and have also learned some great tips from some awesome Poshers, so I wanted to pay it forward.
I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have. I am a Mentor to about 25-30 Poshers, if you would like some Closet Advice, I’m happy to take a look when I have time and give you some feedback.

Hi I’m Kathryn, I think we are in at least one share group together. This is such a nice “how to” that you have taken the time to make and share, thank you!! I have always wanted to know the name of the Face Book groups for PoshMark. I heard that there are quite a few and that they are very helpful. Would you mind sharing the names of them? Thank you! There are a ton of Poshmark Facebook groups, if you do a search under groups, they will all pop up. If you find them, joint the ones that have the most members, that way your questions will be answered faster. Some of my favorites are:

@kk711 I have a deal with a local boutique, I keep their merchandise for a month and if it doesn’t sell, it goes back to the boutique. I’ll have them until 10/28, and then I’m bringing them to the boutique. I can probably get another pair with a couple days notice if you aren’t ready to purchase them right now.😉

@aviatortwin Thank you for all your responses..I love your story that you shared and that of your sister! Thanks for the FB Groups! About the pants...I love them but have some concerns. How tall are you? These seem more for a tall person and I am 5’4”. I weigh 123. I usually wear a 2/4 skirt and a 6 top. People think I should wear a small, which I sometime do, but i don’t like my clothes tight. I am also concerned with all that going on in front tummy area.

I am going to reread your size after your fabulous weight loss and see if it is close to what I would buy. I know the small would be too tight at waist, my waist is 30 to 31 on different days. @aviatortwin Good Morning ( I am EST) 🤣 ok it looks like the pants are long on the Model who looks tall and is wearing heels. I broke my leg in June ( ouch) and won’t be wearing heels for awhile. Is there a reason you suggested sizing up? Thanks!! Kathryn I do love anything blue and white!!

They have sticky peel back & are a good size for posh shipping labels. @aviatortwin They're clear plastic envelopes. You slide your printed label in (fold or cut excess) then peel off the back of the sleeve & just slap it on the package. Easy peasy!

@aviatortwin I know...that tape waste! I'm picky on my packing tape. I can't stand the thin stuff that gets stuck on the roll, can't find the end, rips/splits lengthwise 😲 Give me the THICK kind bc I don't need the aggravation 😂

@mspetiteintl You can create a bundle for them also, that is what I usually do if I want a private conversation. Take one of your listings, it can be your ‘meet the posher’ one, and hit the share button. Then right below where it says ‘my followers...{share}’, you will see a circle with ‘search’ on it, type in their name or closet, and when you tap on it, it goes to a bundle. Let me know if you need help with that.😘

@amyonthemta Hi Amy, don’t worry about the pictures for now, when you have more time you can start retaking them. My best investment was in my $15 white wood washed canvas back drop (on Amazon). I also spent $50 on an awesome lighting set, that was totally worth it, but not necessary if you are pinching pennies, just wait for a sunny day and use the natural light.

@aviatortwin Hey! What am I doing over here... Should be chatting in our bundle. Well, anyway, I am not even home until tomorrow so will have to post new items during the cyclone. The U-tube blurb (and this was the 3rd one I watched about this) all claim that continued daily self sharing is 80% more effective than these cyclones and share groups and if you can only do one, then we should do self shares as more people go through a search for their item rather than looking at their feed.

@aviatortwin in your case because you have so many nice gift items, they prob will be noticed by the peeps who have signed up for the cyclone, not necessarily their followers. I did a test where I shared my entire closet every 1/2 hour all day and got tons of likes and 4 sales from doing this. And this with no Xmas gift items! There is a strategy ( you have most of it in your helpful hints) and I am trying to perfect it. Will keep you informed after I finish this last cyclone.

@aviatortwin I do think some of the daily later groups are beneficial as there is proof that the later sharing is more effective. @kk711 Funny, I got the Share Cyclone notice minutes after your first message. I’m in group 1 too...yay!!! I’ve noticed I don’t get a whole lot of traffic from the Cyclones either, except more followers. I do usually notice more sales after my normal group Shares. I usually do two Share 5’s a day and a lot of my own sharing.

@flshopgirl Hi Christina, I’m so sorry, I’m just seeing your message. December was so busy, I was getting over 3000 notifications a day for awhile there.😱 A really great way to see what sells well is to go to the ‘shop’ tab and use the filter to find a category and the ‘sold’ section, I can talk you through that if your not sure what I mean. Also go to other Poshers pages and filter to see what they have sold.

@flshopgirl Unfortunately you can’t share your entire closet at once, you have to go in and share each individual listing. It will give you an option at the top to share to ‘My Followers’, (below that you will also find the social media options) if there is a party going on, the very top option is to share to the party. Like right now the top option says ‘Back To Basics Party’.

@flshopgirl I wish there was a way to share everything at once, because it takes me 2 hours almost to share the entire thing.😩 However, sharing each listing individually allows you to organize your listings the way you want them. I keep all of my sold items at the bottom.

Hi again, I have a question, a potential buyer wants to add another item I listed on her bundle that she had created of my items before. But she is not able to. Do you know why this could be? I originally offered her a bundle discount before and it’s still got 9hr til expiration. Do you think that’s what’s preventing her from being able to add another item of mine to her bundle? @shopynot Tony, these tips may help, Plus the comments are great too with more info:) I use a couple of different things for backdrops, my favorite you can find on amazon, here is the link below, it’s $16. I also use a variety of colors of wood cutting boards and marble slab for jewelry and small items. It’s always fun to throw in some flowers too.

Love all the tips! Thank you so much! I am a newbie here in Posh so I needed that lots of information. It's my first week actually. I have sold 5 items in my first week. Yaaayyy! I did all the homework. Even I put a lot of effort into my packaging. Put a thank you note with the little extra gift, packed the items with tissue and everything. Communicate with my buyers. But then..I didn't even get a single "Love note" to any of them? I wonder why..

@jshopmycloset Hi Jazz, so happy you enjoyed them:) Welcome to Posh!!! That’s awesome you’ve made so many sales already! I would say only about 40% of Poshers leave love notes, so it’s nothing you did wrong. They likely are new Poshers themselves, or aren’t on very often and don’t realize how much we like those. You can always investigate on their page and see how new they are and how many love notes they have left for others. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.💗💗💗

But for me as a New Posher. I would love to receive that as a confirmation how I did well. And help me and other potential buyers to trust their seller. @meghane21 My mom actually does my signs, she does a lot of graphic design work. She says it’s not an app, it’s high end software called InDesign. However, I do a lot of my own stuff on Pic Collage. It’s worth it yo pay for the upgraded version. It takes a little getting used to, but mess around with it and see what you think. I’m happy to answer any questions:)

@aviatortwin you are a doll!!!! Congrads to taking your life back phyically!!! Doesnt it feel amazing to buy clothes in a store and not have to order your size and pick up in stop or ship to home!!!! I still find myself picking up my old sizes or asking if they carry this in a larger size.... Or when approached by a sales person, the look on their face when I ask such questions ... Always smiling and then asking or stating oh your buying a gift...

@aviatortwin I must say no matter my size I always went out of my way to be trendy and cute but I have fallen in love with the fact that there were so many plus size poshers that had no idea how many many brands accomidate it has been a blessing in disguise I have already gotten to sale 2 storage units full with only one left however finding the very best for my curvy ladies the poshers have been amazing and I wouldnt have done it without my luxe girls helping me

I have an identical twin, and it’s taken her a lot longer to lose the weight, but she’s finally starting to shed it. Starting to look more identical again and we are both thrilled about it. It’s so fun for both of us, having her experience the same things that I did when I was losing. I remember the first time I fit into a size 4, I just could not believe the number was real. LOL!

@anita_63 How to make a Bundle from someone else’s closet
1. Open the listing you want to bundle by tapping on it.
2. On the top right of your screen, you should see 3 little dots, like this •••
3. Tap on those ••• , then a little menu will pop up that has 3 options. The top one says ‘Share Listing’, the next one down says ‘Add to Bundle’. You want to tap on that second option to share it to a bundle.

@facepro3 Your second question, the best place to thank someone for purchasing, and to let them know when you will ship:
1. Go to ‘My Sales’
2. Find the correct sold item, and tap on that. The Sold listing will then pop up.
3. Type their closet name and your message. Example: @aviatortwin Thank you for your purchase, I will put this in the mail for you tomorrow...
4. If they purchased a Bundle, just type in the bundle, and you won’t have to use their closet name.

@lindyz_totebag I would say just about anything is marketable on Posh. The biggest key to your success is the following: 1. Have really good pictures (I’m happy to advise on that). 2. Write your description so that you have a lot of key searchable words, and make your description very professional, with as much detail as you can.

@aviatortwin 2nd. In one of my share groups, she suggests to relist old items & delete old ones even if there is likers on them. I’ve been using the copy listing option on listings that has no likes. But I’m not really wanting to lose the likes on the ones w/likes. The reason I say that is Bc I know me, I go back to all my old likes & shop them. I’m afraid there’s others like me. Lol. What’s your advice on that?

@jessicaldaniels I have only occasionally resisted old listings, I also have a hard time relishing something that has Likes in it already. I would relist if it’s been up for quite awhile with no action, or if you take new pictures that are better. If you do want to relist, and are worried about Likers, you could always mark the original as Noted for Sale’, and then add a banner on the cover picture saying ‘Please see this item under its new listing’, or something like that.

(Keep in mind, you can only share the same item every 30 minutes, or it won’t be seen). 2. Increase your Following 3. Try to add at least 1 new listing a day. Just Shared and New listings are seen most often in the News Feed. I think I answered all your questions, I’ll go back and look, but if you have more, feel free to ask. @cheryl1da Here is how you create a new Meet the Posher listing. First, you can only have 1 Meet the Posher listing, so if your previous one has run out of room, you will need to go to that one, tap Edit, and then go to the Brand. You can just use your own Posher name as the brand, or whatever you prefer. So once that is done, or if you’ve never had one to begin with, you will want to do the following...

1. In the app, tap Sell or on the web, select Sell on Poshmark
Include photos and info
2. Publish your listing
3. After publishing your listing, go to your Closet & at the top, select ‘About’
4. Select ‘Choose Your Meet the Posher’ Listing
5. Select your new listing & save it
If in Step 5, you can’t locate your listing, go back to your Closet and share the listing to your followers. Then repeat Steps 4-5.

@cheryl1da Ok, I don’t use a PC, but I’m very good at finding information;-) So this is how you create a draft on a PC:
On the web:
1. Select Sell on Poshmark
2. Upload a Covershot (you have to have at least 1 picture, even if you don’t plan on keeping it.)
3. At the bottom of the page, select Cancel
4. Select Save Draft
Then to access the draft:
Select Sell on Poshmark > Select Drafts

I got a break after losing yet another loved one (to their family). You NEVER get used to this part of the job. But how KIND and how FAST you have managed to answer! 2. Appx the 4th line down, tap on ‘Find People’
3. Appx the 7th line down, tap on ‘New People’

You can also rearrange your closet by sharing your least favorite items first, and then your favorite ones second. That way your favorite ones will be at the top of your page. 1. Go to my main page where you see all of my listings.
2. On the top right of the screen, underneath where it says Boutique, ther is a symbol that looks like a funnel. Tap that.
3. Then tap Category, then Women, then Jewelry, Scroll down to Earrings.
4. Tap Earrings, then tap Done (upper right of your screen)
5. All of my earrings will pop up

@cyndineumann Unfortunately it’s super easy for that to happen, if you accidentally tap your device somewhere other than the description box, it disappears. So now, to get around that, I write my descriptions out in my Notes folder on my phone, (or whatever outside system you have available) then I don’t worry about losing it. I’m almost always online, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.💞

@kikesea Hi Carol, if someone opens a case, first take a look and see if you think it is valid, or if they are being unreasonable. You will want to leave a message on the open case, and if you have any pictures that show proof, send those as well. Just remember that your buyer is able to see what you write;-) If Posh approves the case, they will send the buyer a Return Label (at no cost to you), and the buyer has 3-10 days to get it in the mail.

Also, for listings that look like real models modeling the clothing, are those Poshers just using any stock photos they find? Thanks for your help!

@mghargett61 Hi Michelle, I’m always happy to answer questions:) If you certify as a boutique, you can sell both used items/new with tag items under the same classification that you have been, but then you can also sell Boutique items, which you have to be the first person selling that item at full cost…meaning you purchased it wholesale. Posh does have a Wholesale section, I have found most of those sellers to be way overpriced though, so be cautious of that.

@mghargett61 It’s best to do some research and find real wholesale websites where you can find great deals. 99% of Boutique sellers won’t share their sources with you, both because they had to figure it out for themselves and it’s challenging, and they don’t want anyone else selling the same items as them.

@mghargett61 As for model pictures, most wholesalers will include model pictures with your purchase. I personally have a couple of my own models that I use, but I’ve learned it’s a lot easier/cheaper if you only buy wholesale if they allow you to use their pictures.
