I decided to join Poshmark and start selling my clothes after having my son Porter. Porter was born with a rare Congenital Heart Disease which causes his aorta to continue to dilate. We have found no known cause. I am a fulltime teacher however I refuse to miss out on Porter's many doctor appointments and tests and miss many days. Hi Kelly, I just read about your baby boy, and I wish you the best and send lots of Love and Light. My little brother was born with a congenital problem and by chance they diagnosed it when he was 21 and he had to have open heart surgery that saved his life. He eventually started his career as a teacher (like you!) and a coach.

He was blessed to have three kids, and his third baby (a beautiful girl) was born with his anomaly, only hers was much worse. She needed surgery before her first year of life went by. But she is a miracle, too☺️. She will be two next month, and is doing wonderful! None of these things came without complications, but I am very grateful for the good care my family received and wish you all the best.

Oh Im so sorry to hear this Kelly! 😢 I know the struggle of keeping up with doctor appts! My husband misses alot of unpaid time for mine & it can definitely be tight some months! Beautiful and precious baby. ..I only wish I could give of my time and help you. I use to do home health nursing with infants following open heart surgery. I was always amazed at the resilience God gave them to bounce back from surgeries that would do most adults in. ..Prayers are always with you!

Prayers 4 your little man & 4 your entire family.. It's not easy I know-- my son had surgery at 10 months old to save his kidneys.. It was necessary as they started to fail. He's 11 years old now & healthy! Praise the Lord! Please update us when you can. 🙏🙏🌻🌻🌻💖🌷Dee

@grace4d Thank you for your kind words! Stories like yours give me hope! Porter was just cleared from the nephrologist! Praise the Lord! However this winter he had so many ear infections we had to add a new specialist and he had ear tubes put in. He's active and full of spirit just like any other toddler though!!!
