It’s origin is unknown, I’ve done as much searching for information on this particular set as I could, short of paying someone for a professional opinion. Even by checking the stamp on the bottom, I couldn’t figure much out. So this is why I say, “antique?” possibly, but I have no idea, could just be vintage, I’m not certain.
