caylward1990 @vintagegames632 i would love to buy these today, but I (unfortunately) cannot afford to until Friday. If I already had a GBA, I’d just overdraft my acct and be broke til Friday haha but I still need to buy the console! I plan to purchase one this week or next (depending on what is out there for GBAs, and cost). You don’t sell consoles do you? Or know of a cheap, trustworthy seller who does?

vintagegames632 @moongoddess722 No, they'll still save. The internal battery will only affect the internal clock, it will only keep time while the game is on. But time based events can still be done by manually resetting the clock.

moongoddess722 @vintagegames632 that is 100% false. it’s well known that all first and second gen Pokemon game cartridges will nit save in 2025 without a new battery inside. they will turn on and play, yes & you can click the save button but when you shut it off and turn it back on, you’ll notice it did not hold the save data and this is because those batteries are 20 years old and need to be replaced to hold any save data. this can be completely verified by googling it btw.
