Poetry for a Cause with every purchase! #RepressedPoetry

My account was named “Vintage4Poetry” for a reason: all the profit goes to support my project “RepressedPoetry”. In the USSR millions of people had no voice.Millions suffered oppression. Among them -- Igor Fr.(1907-1996). He was a promising poet with Italian roots in the literary circles of early Soviet-time in Russia, and was full of hope, dreams, and the desire to express his emotions through poetry. However, his dreams would not come to fruition, as he was wrongfully imprisoned twice during the Great Purge, just like many other innocent people. Igor Franceschi’s guilt was never proven, but the propagandized stigma of the so-called “enemy of the people” was nevertheless attached to his name until 1992, when his honor and innocence were fully restored at the age of 85, only after the collapse of the USSR. Throughout his life, he was silenced; neither permitted to share his story nor to publish his poetry. His name was supposed to be conveniently forgotten. And had it been not for me, that’s what would have happened. But luckily enough, I discovered his name by chance in my hometown’s archival records in 2007. Since then, it is my long-term project and my life’s work to return his name into history and literature and promote his wonderful poetry. Now I'm introducing his poetry to the international arena.
