nicfash @julnik12 I have a question for you if you don't mind answering...do use the promoted closet feature and if so is it worth it? I don't have it but they ask me if I want to use this feature and you have to pay extra even after the 20% . Just curious if I really helps. Your the experience one, so I was just checking. julnik12 @nicfash I have the same promotion too, where I can do the free trial. I think I might try it this week and see how it goes. I haven’t looked to see how much it cost. I’m sure it’s ridiculous.

nicfash @julnik12 I think it's like $35 a week??? Crazy....I spend more time with this than my other sales job that I retired after 21 years. I just started it as a side thing several years back as a side thing...so I can help my mom. I love fashion and have met some great people but it's crazy how time consuming it can be. julnik12 @nicfash hey Nicole totally agree with you. I believe that’s why I haven’t done it. I think Poshmark is a bunch of pigs asking for $35 a week that’s ridiculous. Maybe if you are a major seller here and earn a lot of money $35 is not but when it comes to you and I can’t afford something like that.And I love fashion too. I have so much stuff here my problem is I wear it once and then I’m like, yeah I’ll sell it. I’m an impulse buyer which I need to stop doing.

julnik12 @nicfash that’s the whole reason why I’ve been just cross listing my stuff with prime lister and FLYP makes more sense doing it that way than doing a promoted closet that people complain about anyway. People have been saying that they haven’t been getting any sales and that it hasn’t been really working that well. I can’t see spending all that money for something that doesn’t work the greatestgive it a shot for the free week and then cancel see what happens

julnik12 @nicfash Amy and I should be back on the week of the 31st. We’re trying to come up with a lot of new ideas to try to engage people to come in and stay so we have more viewers. Super hard to do, especially when you are not a seller with pallets. So expensive even my thrift stores here that are high-end are not worth buying from because I know my buyers are cheap. Hate to say it I love my viewers, but that’s the reality of it. Everybody wants something for nothing.

nicfash @julnik12 I'm totally with you. I guess I might try and look into prime lister and flyp. My problem is that I have literally about 100 items I need to list and don't have time, brand new and gently used.Its so time consuming, I like to do research on the item and price it right, etc. Then pictures take a while for me. I literally have not sold anything in a week! I guess my listings are too high, not sure what the heck is going on.

nicfash @julnik12 I'm stuck doing taxes this week, that's another problem just getting everything together for my tax accountant!! I'm actually taking a loss on this website! My husband wants me to quit it so bad. Must be doing alot of things wrong. Feel free to let me know if you see anything in my closet priced way too high, let me know. I just go by what's out there, also they kill me on the 20%☹☹ Have a good week and good luck on sales.

julnik12 @nicfash yes I totally get it. When Poshmark takes 20% that’s huge. so you wanna price your item a little higher so that way it’s less painful. The problem is everybody is not thinking like that. They’re thinking as a buyer and they want something cheap. Plus, you have to remember if you’re not offering them discounted shipping they’re paying full price for shipping. Honestly, that’s what discourage me from buying. So any offers you get in your closet or any likes?

julnik12 I would totally discount it. For me I wanna get rid of a lot of my stuff so I offer them at least 10% and a shipping discount if I’ve had it in my closet a lot longer than I offer 20 and 30 and the shipping discount. When it’s there for a very long time, I just offer 50% and a discount. But a lot of the things I have are my own that I’m really just trying to get rid of. For you if you’re buying it to see, it’s a little bit harder. I will say I think your prices are a little bit too high.

julnik12 @nicfash you have to think of yourself as not only a seller, but you have to think of yourself as a buyer as well. It’s very hard to do both. You know I’m always here to help believe me. I’m trying to draw more people into my shows. And I get very discouraged seeing all these people have a ton of people and the host is a big flop and I can’t understand the attraction. And then I look to see what the theme is and it’s either purses or they’re giving away stuff

nicfash @julnik12 I understand, when I really want something I always look on posh first or something close to it. I've purchased item's here about 4 of them turn out not good. And I'm not that picky, I guess since I got really burned on a luxury handbag that I spent a lot of money, it's hard for me to purchase any thing substantial 😒😒😒

nicfash @julnik12 some of the new items I can't come down much, problem is after 20% and shipping, I get killed.I probably paid too much for them to begin with. I get some likes but not many offers. The offers I get are insanely low, like embarrassing low or if they are close I will always work with them, even when they are super low....you know what I mean? But the other things I will definitely work on dropping down more.

julnik12 @nicfash oh believe me I understand everything you’re saying. That 20% kills everybody. And everybody like something for nothing I say that all the time in my show, but it’s the truth. And people who lowball your items are usually people that have never shopped on Poshmark that much so they have no clue how it works. Super frustrating.

julnik12 @nicfash no I completely understand. My suggestion is just constantly share your closet out. And by doing that you need to do prime lister and FLYP. That’s how you’re gonna get sales. Cause you’re definitely not gonna do it from a live show and that’s what frustrates me. I’ve got a lot of good new ideas so hopefully that’ll work. I’ll see you soon.
