Please beware of these Tiffany Notes collection fakes!!!

If you are searching for Tiffany Notes* pieces, or are considering buying one, please be careful about these very clever fakes! They are marked with years on the hallmarks, usually 1997 but sometimes 2005. The Notes collection was not released until 2008, and authentic Notes pieces do not have a year in the Hallmark, just Tiffany & Co. 925. Also, the pattern and the hallmark on the fakes are pressed in with a stamp, not engraved/carved into the metal as they should be on an authentic piece. The first 3 photos are of a fake. The last two are real. The hallmark differences are obvious, but you can also tell the differences between the stamped fake and the engraved real one. It's most often the wide bangle but I have seen very convincing fakes from the entire Notes line. Please remember: if a Notes piece has a year in the hallmark, but ESPECIALLY a year from before 2008, it's a fake. Be safe and smart out there!
