Usual wear for a book of this age, threads can be seen at inside covers, inscription in front. But solid for age. I see NO writing throughout. Very nice vintage book. Copyright is 1885, but this states "Presentation volume to Members of the American Mutual Library Association Chicago and Philadelphia 1889". 408 pages, illustrations throughout. Includes presidents, William Shakespeare, Tennyson, Longfellow, Mark Twain, Dickens, Hugo, Spurgeon, Mozart, Robert E. Lee and many more.
