This is a unique piece of pottery with lots of charm. It has an unglazed pit fired matte finish. Stamped with artist's initials on bottom "INK" It has a lovely lid with a handle made out of driftwood and cord. It looks to be wheel thrown pottery from the symmetrical grooves on the interior of the pot. This piece was in a larger estate collection of oriental display pottery, but was most like made by an artist in the Pacific NW.
Condition: In good overall condition with minor imperfections from being a hand made piece. There are no cracks or obvious chips. The rim of the bowl has uneven texture that might be considered to have small chips and the bottom of the pot has a small pit that looks like it was created during the pit firing process and not a chip. The lid does not fully fit flush.
Approx. Measurements:
Height - 4.25" to top of handle
Diameter - 3.5" (width becomes 4" with handle)
