Piretta from Finland Rain Cape/Coat

A stylish full-cut raincoat/cape from Piretta, a Finnish clothier from Kuopio, Finland. Designed by Rohdi Heintz and purchased in Stockholm, Sweden in the early 2000s. Two hip pockets. Fully lined. Self-belt with buckle fits into loops on waist; hidden under cape flaps. Shoulder pads give structure. All custom buttons. Worn gently and then put in storage. Remarkable design featuring not only flounce flaps (creating the cape look) on the bodice and on the back, but also in a fabulously easy-care black/tan fabric. Coat is polyester-nylon, lining is acetate. Machine wash; drip dry. Marked USA size 8, but It is oversized…and shown here on a size 12 mannequin (which it also seems to fit). Really a gorgeous piece.
