Vintage Halloween Jack-o'-lantern cardboard round bellows noisemaker, made in Germany. Bellows-based noisemakers generate a distinct high-pitched "squeak," "chirp," or "whistle" through compressed air. These are referred as pipsqueaks or bellows squeakers. Small accordion-pleated paper and cardboard bellows hidden right behind the face of the character. When you shake the stick back and forth the motion compresses the paper bellows. This forces a pocket of air through a small reed in the character's mouth, creating a brief, sharp squeaking sound. In wonderful condition and squeaks.
