This is a beautiful Pier 1 Li Bien ornament from the year 2000, crafted in the classic heart shape and hand-painted from the inside using the traditional Chinese Li Bien reverse-painting technique. The piece is nestled in its original red satin-lined presentation box, making it a wonderful collectible or holiday gift. The glass is mouth-blown and features delicate inside-painted details — Happy Holidays greeting, snowflake, greenery and a red Cardinal. The red padded box with satin lining and traditional Chinese frog closure is the original Pier 1 packaging, which adds a nice touch for display or storage. This ornament is not just holiday décor — it’s a piece of art. The Li Bien technique requires the painter to work inside the glass through a small opening, painting the entire design in reverse.
