Is there a way to take out the "blessed" in the center and put a picture in there?

Yes, there is! On the back there is a cardboard cover that holds the frame and pictues together. it is enforced by small sliding metal pieces. Once you slide the pieces to remove the cover you can add and arrange the photos. The "blessed" quote is on printed paper and can be replaced with another picture. I'll add a photo of the back of the frame to the others above
