These brush heads use Philips' patented BrushSync technology, so each one has an RFID chip in its base that syncs usage information to the brush handle. If you have a BrushSync toothbrush (such as any DiamondClean model), you can see for yourself that your handle recognizes these as authentic brush heads. Many Philips replacement heads sold online are Chinese-made fakes, since the real ones are pretty pricey (a 6-pack of C3s like this sells for $90 at Target!) Lucky for you, I just want to get this out of my bathroom cupboard.
