This factory, also known as Imperial PSL, was located in Schlackenwerth, Bohemia, Austria. The mark was used by the factory from approximately 1901 to 1938 Pfeiffer & Lowenstein was a porcelain factory founded in 1873 in Schlackenwerth, Bohemia now Ostrov, Czech Republic by Ludwig Lowenstein & Josef Pfeiffer. The company experienced success, & the name was changed to Pfeiffer & Lowenstein in the early 1900s under the management of Josef Pfeiffer Jr. During World War II, the Nazis seized the factory in 1938 & it permanently closed in 1949 after being nationalized & integrated into a larger Company.
