Beautiful Peruvian Pucara Clay Pottery Horse Figure This wonderful piece of Peruvian Folk Art is a traditional Peruvian figurine from the southern Andean region of Peru. Symbolizing Protection, Prosperity and Fertility, these were traditionally given as gifts for weddings, home celebrations and to newlyweds to bless their home with strength and prosperity. This Pucara Horse measures approximately 11" tall and 10" wide. Weighs just under 3 lbs. Hand Painted in Earthtones. The saddle horn appears to have broken off at some point in time (see photos), but does not affect the majestic look of this piece of Art. The hole on the upper body used during the firing of this piece has been permanently covered with a round decorative cap.
