jemjess @123456chowchowc hi! it's not waterproof like hiking or outdoor gear would be with the waterproof seams and heavier duty materials. but the material is a water-resistant, has a softer touch and drape than outdoor water proof gear. so it's I'd say a balance of both practicle and fashion, I wouldn't recommend walking in this if it were a downpour and you wanted to stay dry but it will keep you dry if you were casually out in the rain for a bit. sorry for my long answer. :)
