The leather soles have a rubber non-slip section. In good condition with moderate wear on the boot and medium wear on soles. Marked 39 - 9M US. aperitif Hi &thanks for your question. I am going to post instructions for you IN the listing on how to be safe re size. "Size" varies from era to era label to label and even among different styles in one label. So...the only way to be totally safe re size is to compare the length and width of YOUR feet to the boot-measurements in the listing. Use a ruler or a tape measure. A pain;o)but worth it.
