This unique custom made pendant by Paul Rossman features a beautiful oval-shaped fossil dinosaur gembone set in stamped 925 sterling silver. The gemstone is handcrafted into a cabochon shape and showcases a stunning multicolor design. The pendant is signed by the renowned artist Paul Rossman whom cut and polished the cabochon and did the custom silversmithing. When we look at the red orange light blue black maroon and purple color layers within the cabochon, it reminds us of a geologic cross section in the Earth. These layers literally are snapshots in time of the growth of an extinct sauropod or plant eating dinosaur. Interesting the upper most layer has light blue chalcedony infillings replacing the trabecula or bone webbing where individual trabecular or more or less shaped like small bones creating the appearance of a bone bed or even resemble DNA strands.
