Hi there. The L measures approx 15” across the chest (so 30” total) and the XL measures approx 18” (so 36” total.)
I am a 38DD and can wear the XL just fine but it is not “loose.” If you prefer a looser fitting top, I would go with the XL, but if not, I think the L would be fine, as this top does have some “give” to it. I love them. Hope this helps.
