Rabbit manure aka "garden gold".
Unlike horse or cow manure, it is a "cold manure," meaning it contains a low enough concentration of ammonia that it will not burn plants if applied fresh.
Uses for Rabbit Poop
High-Nutrient Fertilizer: It typically has a 2-1-1 NPK ratio (2.4% Nitrogen, 1.4% Phosphorus, 0.6% Potassium), which is more potent than horse, cow, or even chicken manure.
Soil Amendment: These pellets are high in fiber, which helps loosen heavy clay soils and improves moisture retention in sandy soils.
Microbial Life Support: It introduces beneficial microorganisms and trace minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and zinc that promote long-term soil health.
Vermicomposting: Earthworms, specifically red wigglers, thrive on rabbit manure, which helps accelerate the composting process into high-quality worm castings.
Uses
Direct Garden Application: Because it doesn't need to age, you can sprinkle it directly onto flower beds or vegetable gardens as a top dressing.
Create "Slow-Release" Planting Holes: When transplanting trees or vegetables, place a handful of pellets at the bottom of the hole to provide a steady supply of nutrients to the roots.
Invasive Weed Control: Use rabbit manure mixed with waste hay (mulch) to cover garden paths or new beds; this helps suppress grass and weeds while enriching the soil below.
