Pampered Chef Acacia Cutting Board/ Wooden Serving Tray

This is a beautiful cutting board by Pampered Chef. It measures appx 17x13 and has a well around the edges to catch any liquid. It is appx 1" thick and made of Acacia wood. Acacia is a hardwood, so it is heavier and more resistant to moisture and bacteria, and its softer surface is more forgiving on knife blades. Bamboo is lighter, grows faster, and is therefore more affordable and eco-friendly, though it is harder on knives and can warp more easily if not properly cared for.   Acacia Durability: It is a dense hardwood that is very durable and long-lasting, making it ideal for heavy-duty chopping.  Knife-friendliness: The surface is softer than bamboo, which helps preserve knife sharpness.  Moisture resistance: It contains natural oils that make it more resistant to moisture, rot, and mold.  Aesthetics: It often has a more luxurious look with a natural sheen that works well for serving.  Weight: It is denser and heavier, providing more stability but making it less portable.  Repair: Minor damage is easier to sand down and restore.
