Pair of black bakelite bangles

Gorgeous art deco bracelets authenticated with distinctive smell test when submerged in hot water. Each about 1/2" wide; one is carved with flowing lines around a central raised band, the other is stepped on four sides. Tiny chips commensurate with age (see photos) that are not visible while worn.
