Pair of Vintage Scholar Stacking Books Sculpture‎ Bookends

A charming pair of vintage 1930s bookends features a playful scene of an 18th-century librarian struggling to balance a towering stack of books. Crafted from cast spelter metal with a rich brass finish and hand-painted details, these bookends have a warm, antique character. There is minor corrosion, paint loss, and some flecks to the original paint, adding to their aged appeal. Please note that the felt from the bottom of each bookend has been removed also a small line crack appears on the lower right as shown in the 7th photo.
