Pair of Vintage German Boot Shot Glasses

“Prost! (or Cheers!). We’re a pair of vintage tourist German shot glasses of Herrenchiemsee known as the ‘Bavarian Versailles,’ & Berchtesgaden, a German town in the Alps. Why our fun boot shape? According to Oktoberfest Haus: “As the story goes, a military commander in the German army promised his troops that, should they succeed in battle, he would drink beer from his own boot; thus a beer boot. Upon victory, he commissioned a yard of ale shaped like a boot to avoid the taste of his own footwear.”
