Pair of Silver-tone Pewter-like Spaniel Cufflinks

I purchased these cufflinks ~33 years ago at Banana Republic in Boston. I wore them once and kept them because of how nice they are. Not stamped or marked, they appear to be a heavy (solid) pewter like material with great patina. I believe the dog is a Spaniel type, hunting dog or just a handsome dog.
