Pair VTG/Antique Japanese Cloisonné Ginbari Vases - Red, Plum Branches Blossoms This is a gorgeous pair of Japanese ginbari cloisonné vases in pigeon blood red (akasuke), with a design of plum branches and white blossoms. There is a bamboo leaf pressed design in the ginbari foil toward the back of each vase. Ginbari is a unique Japanese cloisonné technique when a textured silver foil is wrapped around the metal body of the vase in the background, with the enamel-filled wire cloisons design in the foreground, then a transparent enamel applied over it all. Condition: The condition of these vases is excellent. There are no dents or damage to the enamel or rims. Dimensions: Each vase is approximately 6 inches high and 4 inches wide.
