From the depths of my closet…is this FABULOUS pair of Vintage Limited Edition PUMA Sprint sneakers by RUDOLF DASSLER and ALEXANDER VAN SLOBBE. These were released from Europe in 2003 for the summer 2014 in the US. These are quite unique made of Baby Blue lambskin and cream calf leather. They are pure decadence down to the Vero Cuoio leather sole. The insole features a hand cut piece of lamb leather stitched onto the sanitized, padded insole which is placed inside each shoe. The interior has the same leather with perforated holes for air. A very special attribute exclusive to these is the large cream leather PUMA sewn on the full length of each shoe on both sides. In addition to the 5 hidden eyelets, a special square, metallic sixth eyelet is present on each shoe to pull the strings tighter and to keep the padded tongue straight. Another wonderful element is the gold stamped PUMA jumping through an upper case “D” on each heel as a tribute to DASSLER”. Cream colored original shoelaces crown the top with the aglets intact. The leather soles have rubber teats attached to save wear and tear on the delicate soles. Their is minor wear and slight soil to the pair commensurate with age. This is quite a find to have a Vintage pair in such nice condition. I special ordered these from NEIMAN MARCUS in 2003. I do not have the box any longer, but I will ship them in dust covers.
