This is an extremely fabulous scarf. It is a full 72 inches in length and 24 inches wide. It tells the story of the famous "Reine de Naples" watch (which was actually the first wristwatch ever made, although people think it was Cartier's Tank watch) Caroline Murat was the Queen of Naples who happened to be Napoleon Bonaparte's sister. She commissioned Breguet to make her a timepiece. What he created was a fabulous egg-shaped timepiece with a twist on his Breguet Numerals. He expanded them on one end calling them "exploding numbers". His creativity did not end there, using strands of horse hair, he braided a bracelet and created a wristband for the timepiece, making the very first wristwatch in history. The inscription on the scarf translated reads: "Breguet, the inventor of time for women". The exploding numbers are all over the scarf along with stars and sparkle. Although it is not included, in the second to last photo this is what the Breguet Reine De Naples Watch looks like today.
The scarf has never been worn and is in superb condition.
