cajt62 Hi sweetie, I read every word! And you're right. Altho, the same people that are lowballers are the ones that are not going to read this. That being said, if this helps even 2 or 3 people realize what they are doing, then this post is worth it. With so many new poshers coming on that are selling their items for garage sale prices, they have really damaged the market on posh. I don't think they realize it, but it's the truth.

cajt62 The market has fallen greatly in the last 6 months or so. Plus the fact that there are way more sellers than there are buyers now. It's just really sad that posh doesn't realize how damaging the changes they made were. It was just alot classier before. That's what made them stick out above the other sites. I don't think quantity was worth losing quality. But I also am willing to keep fighting to keep this site from ending up like so many others.

saltedmermaid @cajt62 which changes did Posh make that you're talking about? I've been on Posh since 2013 but didn't really start using it a lot and learning Posh until just a couple months ago. It seems as if Posh tries to keep their price up by making it a penalty to sell anything under $15. And the rates that they have for shipping, even though they raised them recently, are the best for sites like this.

saltedmermaid @cajt62 To send out an average size priority box it would cost about $17. What I noticed though is that even if I lower my prices, I'm still not getting the sales. I feel it really comes down to demand of a particular item. I would love to go to Poshnation and sit through one of their PowerPoint sessions to hear what their stats are saying for year and so forth.

cajt62 @koukla7 for some reason it got worse when they opened posh up to men's and kids. I really don't know why and I think more so because of the men's items. They have raised shipping twice in less than a year. Shipping is higher than the sites I have looked at. But the lowballing, definately increased when they opened it up to men, even tho it's not the men doing the lowballing.

cajt62 Thanks for listening. Don't get me wrong, posh is very user friendly and 'neater' than sites like Merc. When I joined I didn't mind paying the 20% for those very reasons, but I feel that is changing and the amount of nasty and vulgar items have increased since they opened it up to men. I'm not a prude, but I have a problem with dildos and sexy toys being sold on the same site as children's items. Just hope it doesn't get worse bc i would like to stick with posh.

saltedmermaid @cajt62 omgoodness!!!! I have not seen any of those items thus far!!!!! If I do, I'll def be reporting them!! Posh takes care of everything all internally. So you don't have to pay merchant fees or worry about setting shipping prices or even getting packaging for shipping. It's all paid for. So when you look at the 20%, it may seem high, but in the long run, it's just about the same that any other selling site offers. (Large scale selling site like eBay)

cajt62 Oh trust me, I do. One thing I haven't been doing and will do in the future is save or like them to make sure they are taken off. Just like the closet that was selling fresh "broccoli" on posh. I was like seriously? As for the 20%, you are right. It didn't take me long to figure a few things out. But for example, the Merc site didn't take anything from their sellers till recently and now they take 10%. And last I looked their shipping was still $6.

I just hope that posh has the man power to keep up with all of these things so that they can keep up the integrity of their site. At one time they couldn't keep up with it. That's all I want. Well that and a customer service dept with phone lines. I think they have grown big enough to warrant that now. I don't like

cajt62 computer generated emails to where I have to send multiple emails to get my problems solved bc they are not answering the right question. After awhile you actually get a real person answering your questions, but I want a real person the first time around. And I have expressed my thoughts and concerns to posh thru emails bc i feel if they don't hear how we feel they won't know how we feel. Hopefully its all still a work
