I'm Melanie and the kitty is Mingo, named for Daniel Boone's loyal Indian companion. He passed away about 5 years ago. He was an amazing kitty, very special...I'm finally ready for some new ones! I'd intended to name my closet melaniegrey, but it was already taken. Had Mingo's picture on my desk, and he was gray & white, so thought to add "cat" and it worked! Cats rule!

mitzpaws1 This is wonderful info. I loved the description of how you chose your name for your closet. I lost a beloved tuxedo male by the name of Matisse two years ago and that is how Cleo came into my life. Luna was the love of Matisse, thus her story in my book with A new story to follow this year on Cleo's experience stepping into Matisse's paws. Additionally, the name of my closet, is a combo of mitz (+pah- two bonded things together yet separate) and paws (for Matisse who was with me for 14 years.

spiderwebcloset Very interesting. I must admit I don't understand how to beat the system!! Or computers!! So if I'm understanding correctly.... don't share during the Best in Tops or Best in WHATEVER. Plus when I share your closet, I should start at the bottom of your closet? or in the middle of your closet?

I don't know how to beat the system either...and lately it seems that the system has made a shift change that doesn't favor small/independent closets like mine or others' I've chatted with. But that's another conversation! The point of this PSA is encourage poshers that are partaking in a Best Of....party to NOT just share the first thing in someone else's closet, because that's what everyone does.....con't....

melaniegreycat @spiderwebcloset ...which results in the exact same singular thing in your closet being shared over & over such that the algorithm filters out those shares so they don't get seen anyway. Better to share randomly, whether during a party or not. Share by picking a color, or from high to low, or from the back of the closet forward. Just share in a messy order. You get the idea. Thank you for all your shares, BTW! PLEASE don't feel you need to share more than a dozen things, it shouldn't be work! 😘
