vintagegal521 @roselmay I agree with Lucy. When I first started taking photos of my things, I had white and black backgrounds, but no lights. I had a hard time getting enough light to show things off — colors and details especially. Then I got umbrella lights, and that really helped.

vintagegal521 @roselmay Even with the lights, I found the black and white backgrounds too plain for me, so I bought the brick backgrounds — one for dark colored things and one for light ones. I think you should do what fits your personality!!

mrose_vintage @vintagegal521 My hubs also got me the lights, lol yesterday was my 1st time setting up the lights by myself. SMH then I realized not so easy with my 3yr trying to help. I havent seen the brick ones, but I will look into them. I am going to play with different scenes!

vintagegal521 @roselmay There are a lot of other backdrops in addition to the brick ones that you might like better. I have found them reasonably priced on EBay when I searched with keywords photographic backdrops. Happy hunting!!

lucylovesyou123 @mrose_vintage I have sold one item on Etsy, but you really need to upload a lot of listings to catch attention. It's more profit. The only thing I don't like on there is that shipping varies, harder to add free items, it's not one flat shipping rate
