Paul Nzalamba was born in 1950 and was raised in Uganda, East Africa. He was exposed to art as a young child, watching his mother design and construct baskets, floor mats, and room dividers. He began drawing when he was nine, and by the time he was in high school, he was selling his own paintings. Paul graduated with Distinction in Art and went on to refine his skills in college, learning batik, a wax resist fabric dying technique.
After moving to the West coast of the United States, Paul has continued to sell his artwork and quality prints on his own website. Archival prints like this one of his popular painting “A Drumbeat” sell for $225. The 11x14 inch print has been triple matted to 16x20 and has been titled and signed by Paul in pencil. It is in excellent condition except for a slight dent in the print (see photo).
