Oscar de la Renta Spring 2019 Origami Dress

This dress was the most complimented detail at my wedding. It was incredibly flattering, and it truly felt like wearing a piece of art. The dress train did get stained around the hem, but I got it professionally cleaned by Elegance Preserved (and will do another round of light cleaning beforehand). There are some light stains near the hem that aren't very noticeable--the cleaners didn't want to ruin the integrity of the fabric by bleaching the dress. The dress was altered slightly for my measurements, and the train was also hemmed (~5’10 with heels). The alterations were also done in-house at the bridal boutique, and they mentioned it could be hemmed and adjusted for other future brides' heights. Also, I LOVE the bustle! It isn’t a traditional bustle; instead, it tucks underneath the dress, completely disappearing into a sheath dress without a train for walking around/dancing. The fabric is silk faille, it is the origami dress from the Spring 2019 collection. Unfortunately, Oscar de la Renta no longer makes this specific dress in their boutiques-- so it truly is one of a kind!
