Ornate Silver Whistle Necklace

Elegant silver whistle with intricate design on a chain. Perfect for a unique accessory. This unique 80’s vintage whistle by 1928 is encased in a form fitting silver-tone cover accented with embossed filigree work and rhinestones. The fully functional whistle within is stamped Taiwan with a cork ball (pea). This is not only a very pretty necklace, it is also very practical. The whistle creates a loud sound when you blow on the mouthpiece, which could be very helpful in an emergency. The chain measures approx. 15 inches on either side of a barrel clasp. Both sides of the chain are attached by rings to a fixed bail on the whistle, so that it doesn't slide up the chain. The company's logo, 1928, in Deco-style print, is found on a hang tag near the clasp. This c. 1980's necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
