I just upgraded the sound system but this all works it's perfect if you want the classic vintage tape deck and CD player with a kick-ass BOSE system. Comes with stereo + tape deck six CD changer amp and controller for amp and stereo keypad. The only thing you might need to do is get a couple cables but otherwise it's plug and play. I also have the stereo code

hatchetjack The tape player is actually rare as hell. I’ve seen ONE other 996/986 that in 97/98 had a tape player. Not uncommon in other cars, 97 disco still has one, but in P cars it’s a bit of a rare unit.

thepixelgirl @hatchetjack very cool thank you for that info, this tape player also works. I didn't find it right away because I thought the 6cd changer had a CD in it. that kept playing but it was an old tape cassette playing behind that hidden door for the radio. It is a great sound system but my 86 Porsche can't handle the power.

thepixelgirl @davidmark20349 present condition is been wrapped up in a box after removal Still has the code because it was in my car. on the price I think we both know it's a good price for all of it VS me selling each alone. If this doesn't sell here as a package deal it will on others or the Porsche clubs I placed it on as individual parts. Like I said in the add you might need a cable. I will even throw in the boxster manual if your car is a boxster but it fits in other Porsches as well.
