@elisehunter Oh No!! Mine was a sinus infection and then, bam! That quick, pneumonia. I had zero energy--slept pretty much for the last week or so...Hope yours doesn't do that! Try to stay on top of it & let your doctor know whether you are making any progress towards getting better. Hugs

@elisehunter hi hunny just checking to see if you are feeling any better? With a weakened immune system something like the flu can really knock you down. Just to give you alittle info on me, i have died four times in the past six years i have had respiratory failure from second hand smoke and in Oct 2013 they removed my stomach because it stopped working there is name for it but cant remember it! Anyway i would asperate into my lungs when i slept and my husband would wake to find me unconcious and resperatory failure. Please excuse my spelling. I hope you are better and i will help share your closet! Get some rest!

@page54 Ohhh, Paula!! Wow, I'm so sorry!! But I'm so happy you're still here!! So you really understand what I mean when I say "I'm happy to be alive"! Yes, while they didn't find a reason for the stroke, the Mayo Clinic thoroughly tested me for everything. They found I have a marker for Lupus. That didn't cause the clot but that and that I have 1/2 spleen.....compromised immune system. I've always been easy to get sick but now it's ridiculous. I'm really careful but this time it was plainly Maggie that I got the germs from but we figure it's Fred. Hahaha but really. He's very strong and never gets sick. He's the one that figured this out. I'm always walking around with sanitizing gel in my purse...when I go to the grocery store or PO. Well, I must be feeling better, I'm all chatty!! 😃 (Yay!). Where you able to find a few things in the closets I recommended? If you give me more details, I can do a specific search for you. 😃😘💨💨

@elisehunter have they tested you for a low immune system especially for the lack of immnogammaglobin. We each have four different types I was really deficient in type 1 and 3 they are what help build your antibodies that fight infection. If not you should especially when you say you have always been prone to get sick. I was not allowed out without a mask I was always catching any thing I came in contact with. I had eaten something that had contamination then I aspirated I ended up with E. coli in my lungs. That has been a bitch to get ride of. So if they have not tested you they need to!

I had to go back to the dr and he said I had a relapse...I was so happy my fever broke, I cleaned up and did laundry and went the the grocery store. I got home and almost collapsed. I don't remember what day it was but I slept 15 hrs that night. That's a record for me (and ridiculous)! But I needed it. The next night I think it was 10 hrs. Yikes 😬 I've had relapses from a cold before & it isn't fun. It was actually more annoying than anything bc I just wanted to get better 🙈 Well glad to hear you are resting up on some much needed sleep. Funny how you don't think you need all that sleep until your body tells you 😳 & yes! I know the summer colds you are talking about! I normally get it once a year & it's those colds that seem to linger around. Knock on wood I haven't gotten it yet. Elise...I just read this and I know how you feel, I have been sick too and now am on my 9th day. I feel like I have never been this sick in my life, I have had low grade fevers and am completely congested. I feel like I'm improving slowly. I am also out of town in NY visiting my son and have been sick since I got here. I also having a posting up about it and made a joke about me "catching" it from you, I hope that didn't offend you. When I was there they changed all my meds and I saw new docs. Now I have a whole new set of docs and they're doing new test....they're not sure I'm on the right blood thinners. Jeesh. One little stone fell off the side of one ring but you cant really see it so it is ok. I do love them. I have to come back again. I just found out that my niece and hubby with two little ones is being stationed in Jacksonville he is a naval officer and a dentist so that means my brother will be coming there so i will come see him and hopefully be able to see you!! I will keep you posted i have not seen him in seven yrs do to me being sick and not traveling but i am doing so much better.

@elisehunter well this is a good month it is a not so great month. Tuesday I am married for 30 yrs can you believe that? I worked with my sister in law I had been divorced for 3 yrs and really was at the point I hated men all together and she said to me one day that she had a brother that she wanted me to meet I would fall in love or would continue hating men so I gave her my number he called me it was May 11th and we were married August 5th three months later! How is that for a love story! I brought two children and he brought one and we adopted one and his sister died and her daughter was eleven she came to live with us. Then I have August 14th I will be 60 I really can not believe thirty yrs have gone by so fast!
