Handmade Black Onyx, Coral, and Sterling Silver 18-inch Bead Necklace with Turquoise, Coral, and Silver Pendant
This one-of-a-kind handmade necklace has a pendant that is decorated on both sides. One side of the pendant has shell with turquoise and coral, and the Silver is incised with a floral and animal motif. The reverse side of the pendant is inscribed with a deer plus floral design. The pendant was made by Tibetan refugees. The necklace is 18 inches of onyx, coral, and sterling silver beads. It has a lobster claw clasp with 4 inches of silver extender chain. Some people feel that Onyx has properties of strength, grounding, and emotional balance. Coral is considered to be a symbol of modesty, wisdom, and happiness.
Condition is new with artist tag.
This necklace is delivered in a blue, high quality gift box (5.25 in. x 3.75 in.) with a silver elastic bow.
Artist Statement:
Martha has sold her handmade jewelry at the Harvard Museum of Natural History at their gift shop and at various craft stores and shows as EarthStone Jewelry. Her designs are one-of-a-kind and include many minerals as well as fossils and meteorites. Martha has been collecting minerals for most of her life. She went from finding agates on the shores of Lake Superior to collecting specimens from all over the world. She is also a collector of African, New Guinea, and Native American art.
