Old Antique White Marble Gold Painted Flowers Stepped Base HEAVY Urn/Vase This is a very Old Antique White Marble Stepped Base Urn/Vase with Gold Painted Flowers which is very HEAVY. The piece is constructed with natural white unpolished marble. It was created by having individual slabs cut and etched with a unique flower embossed in the center and painted in gold and then slotted and cemented together to form a taper up rectangle vase/urn. The base is stepped with alternating hexagon and circle slabs. The piece measures approximately 10.25" high by 7.5" wide. It weighs a heavy 15 lbs.! The piece is in good antique condition with no major flaws with some very minor chipping and wear which is age appropriate (please see pictures), but overall it has an incredible presentation. This vase/urn was made around the early 1900's and was initially most likely a memorial urn at one point. It would make a lovely accent in any garden, cottage, bohemian or shabby chic interior or exterior environment.
