This 1 Liter beer stein was the Official Oktoberfest stoneware stein used during Munich's 2016 Oktoberfest, held 9/17/2016 - 10/04/2016! The Oktoberfest collectors' stein remains true to the simple shape which has remained unchanged for over a century. A finished stein has gone through many hands and production steps. The high-quality finishing, evinced by many fine details, makes the official Oktoberfest stein a valuable example of a traditional handcraft. The stein is produced by the firm of Rastal, based in Höhr-Grenzhausen, which still today fulfills orders for stoneware and pewter articles in the tradition of the masterly craftmanship of the "Kannenbäckerland".
