A Low-Ball offer is when somebody offers a substantially less figure than what is the current asking price. So if an item is $10 you offer $5, that is a lowball. Even $7 would be a bit low. I've had a LOT of low-ball offers lately and normally I just block and move on with my day, but I've had sooooo many, I figured I better make a post about it, since maybe not everybody realizes just how rude it is!
I own a business, run a website, and pack and ship orders 6 days a week. I also just published my first book, plus I work 40 hours a week at an outside job and 20 hours a week as a contractor and have multiple YouTube channels and I stream video games on Twitch when I can. I'm very busy. I don't have time to entertain people who are not serious with their offers. That is why I normally just block the profile with the offensive offer. Offering me $10 on a $100 item, I didn't even know Poshmark let you do that. It is like slapping me in the face!
I also cross list and cross promote, not just on my own website, but Poshmark and other retail websites. This is not the only site I sell on, and I never have such low-ball offers anywhere else. Please think before you offer. I'm the only person in my family working right now, and I'm doing everything I can to keep our bills paid!
