Ocean Washed Shell Necklace

Somewhere between the ocean and the sky you’ll find the colors of this necklace, bold foundational shell clusters married to the more delicate, faded out in the sunlight until they became a pastel dream. Would make an incredible wedding necklace, but I’m sure you’ll have your own uses. Intricate poepoe weaving in the most traditional sense, crafted with skill on fishing line, finished with the traditional no fuss, no muss, cannot be lost in the sea clasp. Surfers used these the most, giving a clue to origin. Not crafted for the tourist market, but by an islander for an islander. Found with the other round weave necklace, they came as a pair, I suspect for a wedding couple. Most likely First Nations Australian in origin, given the shells used. In lovely vintage condition, exact era unknown. No shell loss found, but please review photos carefully to be sure it’s perfect for you. Listing is only for the one necklace.
