OUTSTANDING 1950's BLACK FELT PILLBOX - VELVETY LEAVES, VEILING & LARGE FEATHER

This is an outstanding and fabulous 1950s' hat from the estate of a socialite. The hat is unique in that the round cap is adorned in multicolored velvety "leaves" and then covered with fine veiling. The inside is lined ion a shiny black and white fabric. There are several fathers emerging from a boat the top center. The most outstanding one is a large ostrich feather in brown and ivory color. There are slow smaller feathers in red and green, coordinating with the "leaves" colors. There is an elastic band attached to the inside of theta to help keep it in place.
