Charles Dickens published his second book “Oliver Twist” in 1838. David Lean filmed his masterful black & white adaptation in 1948 but it wasn’t released in the United States until 1951. This 11x14 inch lobby card was sent to theaters to promote the film. The NSS number 51/251 in the lower right corner designates it was the 251st film in 1951 that the National Screen Service printed promotional material for. For its age (74 years) it is in excellent condition and does not seen to ever been used. There is a little bit of edge wear on the top right corner (see photo).
