OKURA PORCELAIN CHINA BLUE ROSE BROOCH - OKURA ART CHINA

Absolutely lovely blue & white porcelain brooch by Okura Art China Inc., a Japanese maker of fine china tableware founded in 1919. This brooch measures 2" high x 1 3/4" wide. The white porcelain is enhanced with a design of blue roses. The image is blurred & reminds me of some of the flow blue china pieces from the 19th century. The edges of the porcelain piece have a raised beaded design & are gilded. The gold is very bright with no discoloration. The brooch is prong-set into a goldtone mounting. The back is marked "OAC", "Okura" & "Japan". I don't know when this brooch was manufactured but I've seen cufflinks that supposedly were made in the 1960s so this may date from at least that time. It is in excellent condition with no chips or flaws that I can see except for a slight bend in the pin stem. PLEASE NOTE - This brooch is NOT repurposed from a broken piece of china.
