O1 1997 10 RUSSIAN Ruble Banknote

The image shows a 10 Russian ruble banknote. This particular banknote was introduced in 1997 and features landmarks from the city of Krasnoyarsk. The front of the banknote depicts the Kommunalny Bridge over the Yenisey River and the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel. The reverse side of the note shows the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam. Security features on the note include a watermark, a see-through register, and microtext. In 2012, the issuance of 10-ruble banknotes was discontinued and replaced by coins, although the Bank of Russia later decided to resume the issue of new 10-ruble banknotes.
