Please be kind (and realistic). As a seller I do my best. I work very hard locating items sold and sell quite a lot of items. Sometimes I misplace items. It happens! I am not a department store chain with a large warehouse full of duplicate items. I am one seller with a large inventory. But I always keep close communication with my buyers and if there is anything wrong I inform them asap.
If I misplace an item, I continue to look for it even after I regrettably cancel. The majority of the time, it does turn up and I contact the buyer who re purchases it from me. In such circumstances, the buyer comes first in my mind. I give them a discount and/or an additional surprise item, as a thank you. I always sorry for such inconveniences. Some sellers do not go the extra mile like I do.
Also, sometimes it may take me longer than 5 days to locate items especially in bundles as well. I still inform my buyers if that might happen. I am only human.
Being a buyer as well, I have purchased from sellers who never communicate with me after purchasing from them and I wait up to 10 days to cancel an order. These are the worse sellers in my opinion. Not the sellers who are honest and are doing their best to please their buyers.
I recently got a notice from moderators, and so I felt that I had to state my case. I also wrote lengthy to Poshmark about concerns in regards to the email. It is personal but what I state here would imply what my concerns were.
