@holbrooksusan May I ask about the acupuncture for your pug? How often do you take and is relief immediate?

I started having him get it twice per week, saw definite results starting after 2nd treatment. He had 12 treatment over 6 weeks, each week he improved, so he basically went from no feeling and not wanting to move to walking over a mile with no problem in our neighborhood. I added in laser therapy on week 6 to see of that would keep him from dragging his back feet on occasion between treatments. I was willing to try anything at the beginning and glad I did.

I am not sure people realize how many medical issues these guys can have, that is typically how I have rescued each one, the family couldn't handle the expense. They are the center of my universe, so I am working an extra job right now to pay for this and my friend suggested Poshmark to me last year in Sept., just started selling the last 2 weeks to help the expense.

@holbrooksusan I really appreciate the sharing of info, Lottie is starting to struggle and the vet informed us after X-ray that she was born with no hips 😢 she never whines or complained but we noticed she would hop on her hind legs 🤕she is on meloxicam and it helps but the vet said as she ages she will have more problems so we watch her weight

@oldstone For some reason I just now got your response...gotta love technology, I am glad there is no pain, just can't imagine, might want to try the cold laser too, I have seen it work miracles on some animals by itself. When Pugsley is having a bad day, I also use a muscle relaxer from vet called Methocarbamol, 1/4 tablet, they smell like marshmellows and he really likes to take them, even without his peanut butter:)
