I purchased two RP Alba Dresses from a US seller on e-Bay in Dahlia and Rossa...But are they authentic?
Pros: interior label/care tags, gorgeous fabric/sewing quality.
Cons: retail tag for the “Rossa” says “Red & Yellow Polka Dot” above barcode, while the plastic bag’s sticker says “Rossa” (barcodes match); Dahlia bag has no sticker.
They weren’t cheap, ~25% under retail for buying both (same time as RP’s site sale) I can still return them if need be!

@kaitlynnn1997 I’m so curious to hear your opinion on these! The natural skeptic in me doubts it. The particular seller has other stock (not a ton, enough to be sus); doesn’t have any notably fake styles for sale. My other RP dresses didn’t help compare, the Venus (authentic) and Devon (same seller as these and not sure tbh) so I need your expertise! really appreciate your input! Lord knows, I don’t need to spend this close to RP prices for *replicas*

I’ve got the Rossa in the mini Inez version from the website and that one looks real to me. The size looks the right font and the care tag has the tm and capital C in China. The only thing is the font looks a little off. I can’t place my finger on it. The other one the font of the xs looks weird to me.

I’m going to make a post and tag you so you can see the tags on my Rossa Inez dress to compare. I bought directly from the website! The fabric of the care tag looks different to mine!

Personally, I’d return and wait for the next 30% off sale! That’s when I buy. I will upload now and tag you so you can see what I’m talking about!

@kaitlynnn1997 I totally see it! I think you’re absolutely right! I spent like ten minutes staring at the tags going back and forth. Adding insult to injury, The Devon dress from the same seller is straining at the outside seams and may well fall apart *sigh*. My father (Finance prof lol) always said “there’s no free lunch”...I would much rather pay a bit more for the OG. Plus, who knows what the fake factories are like. When should I expect their next sale? Thanks again!

@cjaywhy no problem! I’m so glad I could help and you caught it before you wouldn’t be able to return anymore! They just had a sale so look for another one in a few months! Go to their website and sign up for the mailing list, they send out sale codes early if you’re subscribed! :)

@kaitlynnn1997 Will do! I’m not sure whether to be direct will the seller and tell her straight that I won’t keep them because she misrepresented that they’re real. I probably have to tell e Bay...I don’t want to screw her business, but she’s the one selling everything as “100% Authentic” for real prices sooo 🤷♀️
kaitlynnn1997
@cjaywhy yeah, I’d tell e bay. It’s messed up to sell them as authentic at those prices. Good luck!
